The kitchen is the room that gets used the most and tested the hardest, especially in an Outer Banks home where it has to handle full-house guests, rental turnover, and the moisture of coastal living. Our kitchen remodels are built around how you actually cook and entertain.

A full gut is the right call when the existing layout doesn't work, the cabinets are at the end of their life, or you want to open up the kitchen to the rest of the home. We handle demolition, framing changes, plumbing and electrical relocation, cabinetry, countertops, tile backsplashes, and flooring. Most of our gut kitchens take 6 to 12 weeks once demo starts.
Some of the biggest kitchen wins come from changing the footprint: removing a wall between the kitchen and the great room, repositioning the island so the cook isn't facing away from the family, or adding a window over the sink because the view is finally being used. We handle structural changes including beam installations and load calculations.
We have in-house craftsmen who work with us on built-in seating, range hoods, and millwork — a built-in banquette with hidden storage, a custom range hood that matches your cabinetry, floating shelves cut to your exact dimensions.
We have an in-house tile and stone team with years of experience. From marble to cement tiles and everything in between, our team can execute any vision.
Rental kitchens take different abuse than primary residences: more users, harder cleaning, less forgiveness for delicate finishes. We do a lot of rental kitchen remodels and can help you balance the look you want with the durability you need — quartz over marble, porcelain over ceramic in high-traffic floor zones.
Can I keep using my kitchen during the remodel?
No, not during a full gut. We typically set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the home with a working sink, fridge, and microwave.
Do you handle appliance ordering?
We can coordinate with your appliance dealer to make sure deliveries arrive when needed. We don't mark up appliances.
Can you match the kitchen to my coastal home aesthetic?
Yes. We've done everything from classic OBX cottage with shiplap and shaker doors to fully modern flat-panel kitchens.
